The real estate market has seen many changes this year, and so have the types of homes and cities that are in highest demand, from fixer-uppers in Ottawa to spectacular, modern homes in Toronto, and everything in between. Below are 10 of the most popular homes our site visitors looked at through the month of April.

1. 130 Dufferin Road -$2,300,000 (inactive)

This gracious home is situated in the highly sought after neighbourhood of Edinburgh in Ottawa. It has stunning oak chevron pattern hardwood throughout the main floor, as well as a gorgeous grand foyer with two story high ceilings and skylights.

2. 81 St John’s Rd – $2,165,081 (sold)

A real fixer-upper, this house has been bought because of its huge development potential. Throw in its Toronto location, the garden suite potential and the vacant possession and it’s a huge opportunity for the buyer to create a real “forever home”.

3. 30 Allison Pl – $760,000 (sold)

Another unique project, this time in Guelph, was sold two months ago. Situated in a great family neighbourhood and close to a few different schools, we can’t wait to see how the buyers transform this real diamond in the rough after a little care and attention.

4. 6 Lemsford Drive – $3,199,999 (sold)

Close to a few different amenities and schools, this gorgeous, move-in ready home in Markham is full of wonderful features such as a finished basement, an area for basketball and another for gym equipment, as well as crystal chandeliers throughout.

5. 88 Forest Heights Blvd – $29,800,000 – (for sale)

Far and away the most expensive listing looked at in the last month, this Toronto home has everything you could ever want or need, and then some. There are six bedrooms, 14 garages and state-of-the-art technology throughout the house.

6. 66 Baby Point Rd – $9,600,000 (sold)

Nestled on a spectacular ravine lot in the heart of Baby Point, this home was created using the finest luxury materials and impeccable finishes, blending modern technology throughout with timeless design. It comes with a professional gym, a wine cellar, a rec room with a theatre and the pool in the garden.

7. 17 Boswell Ave – $6,250,000 (for sale)

This stunning red brick Victorian home in the heart of Yorkville and is still for sale (at the time of publication)! It’s no surprise that prospective buyers have been looking at this listing, because it’s a dream for entertainers, and comes with a stunning gunnite pool, hot tub, firepit and entertainment deck. Make your move buyers!

8. 3 Butty Pl – $1,105,000 (sold)

This Hamilton home is fairly unique, not only because it’s a custom built home – but because it comes with a rooftop solarium and pool! Inside there are five bedrooms, three bathrooms and even a rec room in the basement.

9. 230 Garden Ave – $3,300,000 (sold)

Professionally rebuilt from top to bottom, this Roncesvalles show stopper was featured as one of Toronto Life’s “Houses of the Week” last month and we’re not surprised. It comes with multiple custom features and high quality materials, as well as four bedrooms and five bathrooms.

10. 31 Sadielou Blvd – $1,200,00 (sold)

This large, semi-detached Hamilton home was recently fully renovated and features modern, contemporary designer-grade upgrades. It’s close to a few different schools, and situated in a nice, quiet neighbourhood perfect for growing families.
