In a city as vibrant as Toronto, there’s something special about each of its 158 neighborhoods. Koreatown is a bustling, walkable enclave in the 416 that you can’t miss. Stretching along Bloor Street West between Bathurst and Christie, this high-energy corridor weaves together the vibrant commercial strips of Seaton Village and Bloorcourt. This enclave is the go-to spot in the city for businesses specializing in Korean food culture and shopping, as well as the best place for K-beauty makeup, u coffee shops, and bars.

Getting There: Explore the Heart of Toronto’s Koreatown

Where is Koreatown located? Koreatown runs along Bloor Street West, spanning the vibrant stretch roughly between Bathurst Street and Christie Street.

How to get to Koreatown by subway? The neighborhood is served directly by Line 2 (Bloor–Danforth), making it incredibly easy to reach from anywhere in the city. Both Bathurst Station and Christie Station (on the east side of Christie Street) take you into the neighbourhood.

Which station should I choose? It depends on where you want to start your walk. Choose Bathurst Station if you are visiting spots on the eastern end of the strip, closer to The Annex; exit the station and walk west along Bloor. Opt for Christie Station if you are heading to the western end near Christie Pits Park; exit here to walk east into the heart of the neighborhood.

Best Bites and Sights in Koreatown

Kimsoonrye Soonsal Chicken

Korean fried chicken has taken the world by storm and for good reason. But no need to head to Seoul just yet, KSR Chicken brings the real deal right here to Toronto. Known for their signature sweet glaze and crispy coating, they serve up an authentic dish you can’t miss.

Tobi Cafe

Tobi Cafe is the city’s first spot to combine specialty coffee with blind box culture, the trendy phenomenon of collectible mystery toys. This cozy, light-filled space is also a great place to work. Their menu features trendy staples that taste as good as they look, including croffles (croissant-waffles), honeycomb dalgona lattes, and strawberry matcha lattes.

The K Karaoke

With thousands of glowing reviews, there is no doubt that The K Karaoke is one of the best spots in the city for singing your heart out. Bookmark this bar and Korean bbq restuarant the next time you want to let loose, grab a microphone, and enjoy a “main character moment” with your nearest and dearest.

Christie Pits Park

Located directly across from the Christie subway station, this massive 8.9-hectare park is the green heart of the neighborhood. It is a hub for sports lovers, offering facilities for baseball, softball, soccer, hockey, basketball, and table tennis. When the snow falls, the park’s steep hills make it one of Toronto’s most popular tobogganing spots.
