This week in Celebrity Homes: A former Harry Potter star puts his magical abode up for sale, Haylie Duff picks up her home from another teen queen star, and Emily Blunt and John Krasinski whittle down their real estate portfolio.

Alyson Hannigan’s suburban home

(4 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 6,484 sq. ft.) – US$8.795 million

FOR SALE: Remember Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer? How about Lily from How I Met Your Mother? Actress and everyone’s favourite redhead Alyson Hannigan is selling her California estate. Built in 1936, the home features a chef’s kitchen, master suite with a walk-in closet, private balcony, and a separate office/gym. Outside is a sparkling swimming pool and spa, and a three-room guesthouse with its own living room, Jacuzzi, fire pit, and sound system! Eat your heart out, Buffy!

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski’s Hollywood Hills home

(4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 3,483 sq. ft.) – US$3.5 million

JUST SOLD: Although married superstar actors Emily and John are having trouble unloading their other California getaway home, even after slashing the price by a full million (from US$4 million to US$3 million!), they have been able to sell this luxurious L.A. pad in under two months! Initially purchased in 2015 for US$2.57 million, the residence includes a sky-lit entrance gallery, media lounge with a corner fireplace, and a flagstone terrace with open canyon, mountain, and city views; perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine in their gigantic swimming pool.

Haylie Duff’s Studio City gated home

(5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 4,976 sq. ft) – US$2.69 million

JUST BOUGHT: The elder Duff sister is putting down roots in California, dropping close to US$2.7 million on a home! Purchased from fellow Hollywood starlet Ashely Tisdale, the home has a Cape-Cod feel, tucked away on a tree-lined street. Built recently in 2015, the property is gated, has soaring ceilings, and an abundance of natural light. It also boasts a fireplace, dual walk-in closets, spa-like bath, and a home theatre with a 90-inch projection screen. Can you guess what the backyard has? A saltwater pool and spa with a barbecue for entertaining.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler’s L.A. estate

(3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2, 187 sq. ft) – US$2.05 million

JUST SOLD: After just 10 days on the market the Sopranos actress has sold her 1936-era property. Purchased initially in 2012 for US$1.60 million, Jamie-Lynn will be walking away with a sizable profit. The home features floor-to-ceiling bay windows, wood-trimmed glass doors, and an eat-in kitchen with sports-slab marble countertops and stainless steel designer appliances. And what celebrity home would be complete without the staple large swimming pool in the backyard? You can enjoy a dip in Jamie’s swimming pool to cool off, or spa to keep the heat in.

Tom Felton’s L.A. compound

(2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1, 732 sq. ft) – US$1.44 million

FOR SALE: Draco Malfoy, we mean Tom Felton, is listing his home for a cool US$1.49 million. The English actor, best known for his role in the Harry Potter series, initially purchased the property for US$1.27 million in 2014. The house is newly renovated and has been expanded to include a detached guest house with a sleeping area, open kitchen, and remodeled bathroom. The actual home includes two fireplaces, a two-person soaking tub, and a backyard terrace with an outdoor shower and swimming pool. Talk about a trade up from the Slytherin common room!
