The new year may have just kicked off, but it has already been a busy week for celebrity real estate deals. From Alyson Hannigan’s massive new abode to Leo’s pricy piece of land, check out the latest in star studded homes.

Alyson Hannigan’s Encino Digs

(5 bed, 6 bath, 5,500 sq ft., US$8 million)

BOUGHT: Alyson Hannigan, best known for her roles as Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s witchy sidekick Willow and How I Met Your Mother’s Lily, has plunked down some serious dough on her latest family home. She and husband Alexis Denisof are sure to enjoy this palatial Encino one-storey with loads of contemporary flair. From the cement-poured walls to views of the San Fernando valley, this stunner is easy on the eyes – and its vaulted ceilings, on-site art studio and gym don’t hurt either. Having two shows in syndication sure pays off!

Amy Schumer’s Manhattan Condo

(1 bed, 1.5 bath, 850 sq ft., $US1.62 million)

SOLD: Comedienne and actress Amy Schumer has finally offloaded her Manhattan condo, which she first listed back in August (she’s since moved into a five-bedroom penthouse with Hudson River views). This full-floor unit at West 80th St. features two fireplaces, high ceilings, and a private rooftop garden. Despite the fantastic view, though, Schumer has taken a small financial hit with this real estate investment, having purchased it for US$1.695 million in 2014 – though we’re sure the Trainwreck star doesn’t mind.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s Malibu Paradise Cove Lot

(1.76 acres, US$23 million)

BOUGHT: Looks like Leo’s forays into real estate will continue into 2017 – after unloading a Studio City ranch home just last month, and continuing to list his Carbon Beach property, The Revenant star has just picked up a bluff-side lot for a whopping US$23 million. While the 1.76-acre property does feature a modest 610-square-foot cottage, we bet Leo’s got some Oscar-worthy building plans in store.

Ivanka Trump’s Washington, D.C. Mansion

(6 bed, 7 bath, 6,870 sq ft., US$2,818,958)

BOUGHT: Following the listing of her Park Avenue condo in December, the president-elect’s offspring looks to be staying close to family, picking up a Washington, D.C.-area mansion with husband Jared Kushner. The 6-bed 7-bath home is located in the city’s cushy Kalorama area– reportedly the same neighbourhood the Obamas plan to call home post-White House.

Matt Lauer’s Southampton Cottage

(3 bed, 2 bath, 1,800 sq ft., US$3.5 million)

SOLD: Today Show host Matt Lauer has just made a tidy sum on the sale of his cottage, located in coveted Southampton. The 1,800 square-foot home is situated on a lake-facing one-acre lot and includes an outdoor shower, breakfast area, cathedral living room and wraparound deck – perfect for taking in those summer sunsets.
