There’s nothing like the thrill of sliding down a snow-covered hill. With winter approaching, it’s the perfect time to plan a fun outing like snow tubing. Ottawa is a great place to enjoy the season, with plenty of exciting tubing spots just a short drive away. To help plan your winter adventures, we’ve put together a list of snow tubing spots you won’t want to miss out on.

Distance from Ottawa: 34 km northeast (30-minute drive)

Located just a 30-minute drive from downtown Ottawa, this snow tubing spot is open to guests of all ages (three years and older). The park offers colourful tubes in various sizes, ensuring all guests can find one that suits them and enjoy the ride to the fullest. The tubing season typically runs from late December to mid-March, depending on the weather. 

The park also offers a heated chalet, cafe, and picnic tables outside for snacks; however, outside food is not permitted. Tickets are recommended to be booked online, allowing guests to secure a guaranteed spot and pay lower prices than at the door.

Price: $24/ person (aged 12 and over)

Countryside Adventures

Distance from Ottawa: 71.8 km southeast (1-hour drive)

Countryside Adventures is the perfect spot for a winter day trip. It’s dedicated tubing hill stands at 30 feet high and stretches 300 feet long, ensuring all guests have hours of fun and excitement. With over 80 tubes available and family passes for added value, it’s a family-friendly park with tubing suitable for children of all ages. 

The tubing season runs from November until the end of March. The park features a food truck on-site, offering poutine, maple taffy, and hot chocolate, the perfect treats to enjoy during the winter season.

Price: $10 to $16/ person (depending on age)

Les Glissades du Domaine des Pays d’en Haut

Distance from Ottawa: 120 km northeast (2-hour drive)

The snow adventures at Les Glissades du Domaine des Pays d’en Haut are suitable for kids aged 4 and up, making it an amazing way to spend a winter day or even night, under the glistening snow and lights. The park features a chalet where guests can bring their own homemade lunch or purchase treats and hot drinks from the on-site snack bar. The tubing season opens on November 15th and runs until mid-March, providing guests with ample time to plan and book their tickets for a thrilling winter outing. 

Price: $16.50 to $37.50/ person (online price + depends on age)

Adventures Niege

Distance from Ottawa: 151.9 km northeast (2-hour drive)

Despite the longer drive, snow tubing at Adventures Neige is a fun family experience, especially if you’re staying near Hotel Mont-Tremblant. The park welcomes all visitors, but children must be at least 2 years old to participate. There’s also a dining area with a terrace and fireplace where you can warm up with a hot cocoa after a chilly day. The park is open for the season from December 20th to early April.

Les Sommets Edelweiss

Located just north of Ottawa, Les Sommets is a popular winter destination known for its range of family-friendly activities and scenic views. The resort features dedicated snow tubing slopes with multiple lanes. 

Along with tubing, Les Sommets offers skiing, snowboarding, and on-site dining, making it the perfect winter getaway for families. Due to the park’s popularity, it’s recommended to reserve tickets online.
