Earlier this week, I reached out to our team in light of the troubling acts of racism and violence we are witnessing against the Black community. These events are unfortunately reflective of much broader systemic issues of inequality that are faced within our society.

One of our core values at Zoocasa is as follows:

We empower and collaborate with each other so all succeed

Our team and our company stands for diversity, inclusion, and for equality – today and everyday. We remain committed to ensuring Zoocasa is and will always be an inclusive workplace where empathy and understanding is at the core of who we are. It is important to note that we stand in solidarity with the Black community, of which members of our team, their families, and our clients belong.

While these values are reflective of who we are as one Zoocasa, we can do better.  Together, we must work harder to connect with empathy – we must recognize our differences do alter the lens through which we each experience the world around us.

At Zoocasa, we’ve been able to achieve our accomplishments, not in spite of our differences but because of them. We embrace the diversity of our team, different backgrounds and perspectives, and we will continue to protect the open and supportive environment we have at the company.

While 2020 continues to throw everything our way, my executive leadership team and I are committed to hearing from our entire team on how we can continually ensure that Zoocasa is a place where everyone feels included and represented, always. We are here to listen.

In the coming days and weeks, we will be listening and finding ways to take action based on feedback from members of our team and our clients. We will continue to create an inclusive environment that supports all employees and the diverse communities we serve.

Sincerely,
Lauren Haw
CEO, Zoocasa
