How do I find out what a house sold for?

Question of the week: How do I find out what a house sold for?

This week’s featured ANSWER:

“Prior to completion date, that info is covered by the Privacy Act. The new rules say Realtors(tm) should not give out that info without consent of the Buyer and Seller – unless we’re using that info to compare to a neighbouring property.

After completion and registration of the deed, it [the sale price] is public information that is available to anyone through the Registry Office.”
