If you dread the thought of being stuck in traffic, you may want to steer clear of these Canadian cities, according to tomtom. While Canada is full of beautiful places, some cities are particularly notorious for their congestion and long commutes. Whether you’re thinking about moving or just planning a visit, here are the top 10 cities in Canada to avoid if you hate traffic.

1. Toronto, ON

Toronto is often celebrated for its vibrant culture, diverse neighborhoods, and bustling city life. However, if you’re not a fan of sitting in traffic, you might find Toronto’s roads a bit challenging. Known for its significant congestion, frequent construction, and rush hour delays, the city’s traffic can be a real test of patience. 

With the city itself ranked 3rd in the entire world for traffic, you may want to reconsider any moves or visits here if this is the last thing you want to deal with.

2. Vancouver, BC 

Ranked 32nd in the world, Vancouver is famous for its stunning scenery, vibrant neighborhoods, and outdoor lifestyle. But if you’re not a fan of traffic, you might want to prepare for the city’s notorious congestion. With its mix of narrow streets, frequent construction, and high commuter volume, Vancouver’s traffic can sometimes be more of a headache than anything else.

3. Winnipeg, MB

6. Halifax, NS
