Lights and Lanterns

Add a touch of glamour to your home by hanging beautiful lights around your windows, doors, pillars, and even trees. This is a great, subtle way to emphasize the architectural features of your home so consider placing lights in a way to outline key features such as rooflines, peaks, and columns. Be mindful of symmetry and balance so that your home can maintain an elegant appearance.

Lanterns are an easy way to add versatility to your home’s holiday curb appeal. Position lanterns on either side of your front door or along the pathway leading to the entrance. This creates a welcoming and well-defined entry point. If you want to step up your design, use lanterns of different heights and sizes and place them in groups of two or three for more impact.

Wreaths and Door Decor

Wreaths not only add charm to your outdoor space, but they also bring the natural beauty of the season to your home. Traditional or modern wreaths made from pine cones, berries, and ribbons are perfect for the holiday season.

If you want a more modern approach, try a customized monogram door hanger or a rustic wooden sign a with festive message. You could also add a holiday-themed door knocker or decorative door hardware for an extra touch.

Potted Plants

When it comes to the holiday season, most people think of the classic pine tree, however, there are plenty of other seasonal plants that can add pops of color to your home such as poinsettias, evergreen shrubs, or red-berried holly. You can put them in decorative pots or group varying plants together to create a visually appealing arrangement. For a more unique touch, try using ornamental kale and cabbage to create unique textures. Winter pansies are another good option to bring a splash of cold-tolerant colour.

Festive Mailbox

Elevate your mailbox into a festive focal point by embracing a variety of creative holiday decorations. Begin by wrapping evergreen garland around the post, securing it with festive ribbons or zip ties. Then adorn the mailbox with large bows or ribbons in classic holiday colors, and consider hanging a small wreath securely on the front. Incorporate holiday-themed magnets or clings for an extra touch.
