With summer stretching on, it’s a wonderful time to go hunting for your dream home or to put your home up for sale. Either way, there’s been a lot going on in celebrity real estate, so let’s check in on what they’ve been up to the past week.

  1. Jackie Collins’s Beverly Hills estate (8 bedrooms, 10.5 bathrooms, 21,784 sq. ft.) – US$21 million

This custom-built Beverly Hills mansion of the late romance novelist Jackie Collins just sold for an astounding US$21 million. This home features a 100-foot long art gallery, guest apartment, gym, 12-seat screening room, massive courtyard, and a gigantic swimming pool.

  1. L.A. Reid’s X-Factor mansion (7 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, 11,246 sq. ft.)– US$18 million

This Hollywood music mogul just got the deal of a lifetime. Initially listed at US$27.5 million, he bought it for a cool US$18 million! Built in 2015, this Bel Air mansion boasts four fireplaces, a fully equipped gym, an elevator, 300-bottle wine cellar, a home theatre, and two floating glass staircases! Not too shabby for the former X-Factor judge.

  1. Brent Spiner’s Malibu estate (3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 5,000 sq. ft.) – US$11 million

Sitting on 1.6 acres of land, this Star Trek: The Next Generation alum, is listing his property for about US$6 million more than what he purchased it for in 2003. This Spanish-style home comes with a chef’s kitchen, terraced gardens with fountains, a lagoon-like swimming pool, and a master suite with an ocean view.

  1. Pete Sampras’s California getaway (6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, 6,900 sq. ft.) – US$8.9 million

Built in 2009, this retired tennis star’s property is tucked behind gates at the end of a cul-de-sac in Brentwood. Recently renovated to add more space, the home features an oversized library, theatre room, swimming pool, spa, and a variety of outdoor trails. Just for fun, try using this land transfer tax calculator tool to see what you’d have to pay if you decided to purchase this home.

  1. Ginnifer Goodwin’s Hollywood Hills home (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2,204 sq. ft.) – US$1.4 million

This Once Upon a Time star is listing her Spanish villa for US$300,000 more than what she initially purchased it for in 2008. This beautiful property was built in 1923, and includes French doors, a gigantic outdoor deck that runs the length of the house, a lounge area, and a fire pit.

The bottom line

If you’re feeling pumped to throw your hat into the celebrity real estate ring and own a piece of Hollywood, make sure you check out best mortgage rates and use these mortgage calculators to figure out the cost.
