David Geffen’s Manhattan co-op

(2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 5,000 sq. ft.) – US$27.5 million

FOR SALE: David Geffen, the American business tycoon best known for creating Geffen Records (now owned by Universal Music Group), is listing his Fifth Avenue home in New York City. Estimated by Forbes to be worth $6 billion dollars, the home was originally purchased by Geffen for US$14.17 million in 2010. That’s quite the return! The home boasts unobstructed views of Central Park, a custom-fitted walk-in closet, sound-proofed screening room, and a wall of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.

Adam Levine’s Beverly Hills estate

(5 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, 7,100 sq. ft.) – US$15.950 million

FOR SALE: Maroon 5 crooner and The Voice judge Adam Levine is listing his California home after purchasing it three months ago. As a result, he’ll be taking a US$1 million loss, having initially purchased it for US$17 million. The 3.6-acre estate features a gourmet kitchen, lounge/screening room with a state-of-the-art projection system, gym/spa, and a two-storey car garage. The best feature of the home, though, has to be the panoramic mountain and canyon views.
