About Cobourg, Ontario

Cobourg is approximately a 2 hour drive from the City of Toronto. It all started in 1790 where settlers started arriving in Cobourg. At that time the population was only 350 and the city consisted of 40 houses, 2 inns, 4 stores, a few distilleries and a grist mill. Today that population has grown to over 20,000 and is home to James Cockburn - Cobourg’s Father of Confederation.
