This week has certainly been a political whirlwind. President-elect Donald Trump secured the electoral college vote shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday, leaving a nation divided – and many researching their north-of-the-border real estate <\/a>options. Interest in moving to Canada spiked so strongly, it infamously crashed our nation’s\u00a0immigration website, and Zoocasa.com<\/a> is no exception!<\/p>\n

Requests for info about moving to Canada have been flooding in, according to our dedicated customer service team. \u201cFrom 11 p.m. last night to 5 a.m. this morning, we did see an increase in American visitors on the site seeking information about moving to Canada; it was a substantial uptick from our usual inquiries,” says Dan Lee, a Zoocasa customer service representative. “Many of our callers stated they either have family in Canada that they wish to join, or are holding Canadian passports or dual citizenship \u2013 and they were very thankful for those connections.\u201d<\/p>\n
