While the mansion is currently a restaurant, it was the home of the Massey family in the early 1900s. It has an interesting history\u2014and three ghosts. It now operates as a historic site, showcasing the beauty of a well-preserved landmark home. If you visit, you can see one of the ghosts that appear: a little boy, a floating woman in a white dress, or the ghost of a ventriloquist\u2019s dummy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel &#8211; Banff, Alberta<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re looking for an eerie stay, Bates Motel has nothing on the Fairmont. Considered one of the most haunted places in Canada, the hotel&#8217;s weird and tragic history and reports of ghost sightings are not hidden by its picturesque scenic views.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Baie des Chaleurs, New Brunswick<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most people think only buildings and structures can be haunted, but Baie des Chaleurs challenges that. Supposedly, a ship belonging to a Portuguese captain was set ablaze. As the sailors aboard were lost to the icy waters, they all swore to haunt the bay for 1,000 years. Sightings of a woman in white are reported, as are the sounds of someone playing piano. Most of the &#8220;hauntings&#8221; are linked to Dunsmuir\u2019s untimely death and his frustration over passing away before the home was completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Simon McTavish\u2019s Tomb &#8211; Montreal, Quebec<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simon McTavish was a businessman in the fur-trading business, buried in Mount Royal Cemetery. Visitors have seen him dancing by his grave and, hilariously, tobogganing down the hill using his coffin.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">King\u2019s Playhouse &#8211; Georgetown, Prince Edward Island<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some ghosts can be friendly! King\u2019s Playhouse Theatre is haunted by Captain George, a ghost well-liked by locals enough to have his own seat dedicated to him at every play. He apparently likes to grab people\u2019s hands and occasionally crash special events like weddings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Government House &#8211; Regina, Saskatchewan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarded as one of the most haunted places in Canada, Government House was the estate of the former Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan and is currently home to several apparitions. Visitors have seen and heard ghostly figures and uncanny noises from inaccessible areas.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, Ontario<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Off the shores of Toronto sits the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, the second-oldest lighthouse in the country and haunted by the very first lighthouse keeper. The lighthouse was a fixture in the Toronto harbor during the Battle of York in the 1800s, and lighthouse keeper J.P. Rademuller is apparently still hanging around even two centuries later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plains of Abraham &#8211; Quebec City, Quebec<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Battle of Quebec was arguably the bloodiest battle in Canada&#8217;s history. The former battlefield is now a very popular spot for tourists and locals alike.
