After selling her school house property at the beginning of the pandemic, Laurel began seeking out her next project, but this time she was looking for an affordable place to call home. She removed the mirror on the ceiling, as seen below, and has plans to make the property winter ready. Although it doesn\u2019t currently have a bathroom or kitchen, these will be some of her first major additions to the caboose.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zoocasa.com\/blog\/can-these-home-renovations-be-done-in-winter\/\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Can These Home Renovations Be Done in Winter?<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zoocasa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/IMG_1801.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19068\" width=\"515\" height=\"386\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zoocasa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/IMG_1801.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.zoocasa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/IMG_1801-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 515px) 100vw, 515px\" \/><figcaption><em>Renovations are in progress, including removal of the ceiling mirror and limo seats.&nbsp;<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe interior wasn\u2019t my style, but I have lots of options for updating it\u201d Laurel continued. The floors will be changed throughout and she has already begun refinishing the drywall. \u201cOnce these are done, I can begin decorating and making it my own\u201d. Laurel is also considering solar panels and other upgrades to make the property as energy efficient as possible. \u201cWith a tiny home, you have to also find the land for it, and there weren\u2019t many options in and around the GTA\u201d Laurel told Zoocasa. The caboose is currently on leased land, but she may consider moving it down the line.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zoocasa listing agent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zoocasa.com\/company\/our-team\/jennifer-krane\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Jennifer Krane<\/span><\/strong><\/a> knew this was a special property, \u201cI wanted to make sure that it ended up in the hands of someone who understood its charm and potential\u201d Krane explained. \u201cLaurel has big plans for the caboose and I can\u2019t wait to see how it looks when the renovations are finished\u201d Krane continued.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWith the caboose I now have flexibility, affordability and many options for the future,\u201d said Laurel. \u201cIt really is my 250 square feet of paradise!\u201d We can\u2019t wait to see all of Laurel\u2019s finished renovations!
