To find out, Zoocasa compared the year-over-year\u00a0January &#8211; December 2017 performance and average home price in Canada&#8217;s three largest markets &#8211; Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary &#8211; to the performance of some of the most popular investment vehicles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The S&amp;P \/ TSX Composite Index<\/li>\n<li>The S&amp;P Canada Aggregate Bond Index<\/li>\n<li>A high-interest savings account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As it turns out, it certainly paid to be a Vancouver homeowner, with the average home seeing a 10.7-per-cent return in value.
