Shangri-La is defined as a place regarded as an earthly paradise especially when involving a retreat from the pressures of modern civilization.
Sounds very inviting. I think I could kick off my heels and stay a while. Currently under construction at the prime address of Adelaide and University, this hotel/condo/private estate residence is unlike anything Toronto has seen. Bordering the entertainment and financial districts, these homes combine the best of urban living with the legendary services of a 5-star Shangri-La Hotel. I love this new trend in hotel – condo residence living. It certainly caters to a distinct lifestyle.
The Shangri-La is gorgeous with a capital G. When I visited the sales centre and was given a tour of the model suites I could not get over the quality of the finishes and the attention to detail. What makes this project unique is there are residences and private estates that are essentially houses, sky high. These range in size from 1950 square feet to 6700 square feet and range in price from approximately 3.65 million to 18.88 million. Don’t worry though, at these price points a private 2-car garage is included in the purchase price!
The residences are smaller and more moderately priced but come with parking and all the same deluxe finishes (Boffi kitchen, Miele Appliance, Kohler). This really is perfect luxury.
Designed by, James KM Cheng Architects, one of Canada’s foremost luxury residential developers and designers, the project features the exclusive 200 room Shangri-La Hotel (floors 1 to 17) with 20,000 square feet of amenity space that includes: a spa, fitness centre, indoor pool, business centre, lounge, private theatre and two restaurants, which are all accessible to the hotel guests, as well as the residences (floors 18 to 49) and the private estates (floors 50 to 66).
This is another project that is making Toronto an international first class city and forever changing the sky line.

Before Heather Rovet started matching people with the right home, she spent many years putting people in the right clothes as a wardrobe stylist for the television and film industry. Both are very much the same to Heather – it’s about listening to functional needs and understanding a person’s vision – and she brings those two key elements together to find the right solution. With a love for the unity of beauty and order within a space, Heather feels that our homes are the place in which this can be reflected and defined.
Coupled with a passionate and keen eye for style and design, Heather sees the potential in the reality and helps clients to really envision their dream space. Whether it is a starter property, an upgrade, an income property or one’s own private sanctuary, Heather works with her clients every step of the way to put them in the home that is right for them.
