In order to do these knockout listings, I look through about 100 homes each week. After seeing thousands of homes and choosing some terrific ones, I can honestly say that there are very few I would buy myself (were I ready to buy). They’re all gorgeous—don’t get me wrong—but a few stand out to me.
This is one of those few.
This 100-year-old Victoria semi-detached in Cabbagetown is oozing charm, and really has everything you (or I, apparently,) would want. Not only has it been restored in the right places—modern country kitchen with stainless steel appliances, built-in bookcases in the living room—it includes the home’s original proportions and custom millwork. The character of the entire house, from the crown mouldings to the cozy family room that overlooks the backyard, makes this one heck of a knockout. There’s also a large, open basement that’s begging to be finished, for those who need a project and want some extra space.
