Activity in the real estate market has increased from both home buyers and sellers for the month of April. Ray Harris, president of the REBGV further explains that this activity is very characteristic of the spring market where people looking to buy or sell their home as the school year draws to a close. Harris also adds that home prices in the region continue to exhibit modest increases compared to the same time last year.

Sales breakdown
For the Greater Vancouver area 3,050 sales were made during the month compared to the 2,627 made in the same time last year. New listings for the month were at 5,950 compared to 5,876 of the same time last year. The average price for all residential properties for the Metro Vancouver region is at $599K.
