As a subcontractor to a builder (Tae San Builders Winnipeg) how do I collect before a house is sold?
-
This is something I assume you've spoken about with the builder, and can't come to an agreement. I would speak to your attorney, and make sure they specialize in this type of situation. If the builder is really not coming forward, I believe you have the right to put a lien on the house or houses you've worked on. A lien with stop the builder or the person who owns the house from it selling. But I am not a lawyer, so this is something you must do with a lawyer/attorney.
Good Luck

agree with Nolan - speak to your lawyer, or try an online legal forum. Sometimes lawyers do give free advice!
-
try to put a lean on the house: did you have a contract for your job? talk to your lawyer!
