if i terminate my agreement to sell but initialled the part about not allowing other board members to contact me how long do i need to wait if i want someone else to sell for me
-
The fact that you initialled 'NO'for consent to contact just means other Realtors cannot solicit you. As long as your listing contract has been CANCELLED ( and not SUSPENDED ), signed by both you, your Realtor and his/her Broker of Record, then you can seek out a new Realtor to sell the home for you
-
Make sure that the existing Listing is Terminated/Cancelled....Broker is released from any further obligations, liabilities, covenants and claims arising out of the Listing Agreement, and the Seller is released from any claims of remuneration or compensation with respect to the Listing Agreement...once it is published as “terminated” on the MLS. System the board members will be able to contact you as well as you can contact other Realtor to sell your home/property.
-
Ensure you have received a signed copy of the Cancellation of Listing Agreement form signed by all parties which confirms you are in fact released from your previous contract and free to solicit the services of another Realtor. As long as you are the one soliciting and making the initial contact with another Realtor you can enter into another Listing Agreement contract.

As long as the agreement has been officially terminated, you are able to contact any Agent to list your home. The "Contact after Expiry" is directed at other agents/ brokerages from contacting you.

You have to get a "cancellation" from the broker. If you get a "suspention" then all agents must stay away until the end of your contract. When you get the "cancellation" any agent can work with you.
-
The do not contact check box does not apply to when you can work with another agent, only that they can't contact you. That being said, make sure you have an actual cancellation and not a suspension
