A collaboration is in store for the NYC Urban Technology Innovation Center with IBM – great news for the Green building industry (at the very least).
The mission of the center (comprised of partnerships between the New York City Economic Development Corp., Columbia U, Polytechnic Institute of New York U, and the City University of New York) is to create memberships which bring green building tech companies together with building owners. Members are brought together to test green building initiatives, with IBM’s role to bring in the innovative computing technology (ie: “cloud computing, real-time analytics, supercomputing”) used to evaluate the testing.
The aim is to bring New York City to the forefront as “a global leader in deploying smart-building technologies”.
