After an unusually busy spring market, housing sales have started to put it into cruise for the summer. Check out the average price numbers for mid-month June homes sold in Toronto (GTA).
Coming off of peak season, the housing market traditionally starts to slow down in June; however, this has not entirely been the case for 2014. According to the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB), both sales and listings increased substantially in June’s first 14 days compared to this time last year. With that said sales growth improved at a faster rate than growth in new listings. Demand continues to exceed supply, leading experts to predict a seller’s market for the rest of 2014. The competition amongst buyers will persist into June.
